Greetings from the Sensational South Suburban Denver Jack and Jill Chapter, my name is Katrina Little, and I am pleased to serve as the 2019-2021 Chapter President for such a wonderfully, dynamic group of women and exceptional children.  Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is “dedicated to nurturing the future of African American leaders (ages 2-19) through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.”  Chartered on September 20, 1980, the Jack and Jill of America, Inc., South Suburban Denver Chapter has served the Denver-Metro area through local and national partnerships for 39 years. Because we seek for children and families in our community to have a more equitable lived experience, we as a team of supportive mothers and families come together to provide school supplies and backpacks through our back-to-school drive, blessing bags for our homeless, after school reading and mentoring, JJ swims water safety education and scholarships, financial contributions, adopt-a-family support for the Volunteers of America Family Motel, and hosting our Annual Breakfast with Santa for broader local and national support of African American communities through the Jack and Jill of America Foundation (JJOAF). Through our collaborative contributions, the JJOAF provides substantial grants for Heart and Mind Health Fairs, Community Reading Corners and support of individual and community partners that are vested in empowering, uplifting, and improving the quality of life in African American communities.
