SOUTH SUBURBAN DENVER CHAPTER CHARTERED 1980

The South Suburban Denver Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, was organized when a group of parents recognized that a new chapter was needed to be established to fulfill the growing request for membership in Jack and Jill in the growing suburban areas. Following the provisional period, South Suburban Denver was officially chartered and installed on September 20, 1980, by Dr. Lillian Parks, National President, and Barbara Ponder, Central Regional Director.

The South Suburban chapter was created for the same reasons the National organization was established and today we continue to take our goals and objectives seriously. We are taking bold new steps, not only in raising awareness of children’s needs and concerns in our objectives but also by implementing programs that are fun and community friendly. This year, we are working in a collaborative manner with our continuing partnership with the Denver Boys & Girls Club. Each grade group is actively developing activities and events that assist and improve their communities.

The South Suburban chapter is busy empowering our youth’s potential through programming and making a difference in the lives of those in the community we serve.
